Dr. Kamau was born, raised in Kenya and after my pre med schooling there, on a scholarship studied medicine in Pamplona, Spain. This was followed by my surgical training in London and later in the United States: NY, Canada and Colorado. He and his family settled in Denver where he had a surgical practice until he retired just before the COVID pandemic. He has been a newspaper columnist for the Denver Post, Rocky Mountain News and HuffPost, etc. and currently for the Denver Gazette. He established a non profit – AAHEP.org – to help Black women scientists in Africa to obtain graduate degrees in US universities. He has been a NPR – National Public Radio – commentator for many years and has been on local PBS (Public TV) station discussing healthcare and issues of minority education. He is a Podcast host of –  Never Again , supported by Global Coalition Against Genocide  a non profit that aims to educate, motivate, and Empower individuals and communities to oppose Genocide and crimes against Humanity.
