I’m a freshman at Bronx High School of Science. I’m interested in trying something new, as I haven’t had the opportunity to mentor anyone before. Taking on this opportunity would allow me to understand how well I can explain something to someone else, and test myself on what I know. I believe that mentoring can help me become more patient, better at communicating, and more confident. I’m really into reading because it gives me a chance to learn about people’s ideas, and I like drawing because it incorporates freedom and creativity. Over the three years in middle school, I’ve attended few competitions and clubs, but this year, I plan to contribute more to my school by participating in a variety of events.
