Joshua Liu
Co-founder & Co-president
Joshua is a rising sophomore at Cherry Creek High School with a strong passion for STEM and educational equity. He is an active member of the math club, speech and debate team, cybersecurity team, and junior varsity swim team. Outside of school, he enjoys chess, swimming, skiing, hiking, and other outdoor activities.
Joshua has a strong record of achievement in math competitions. He has qualified for the AIME every year since 5th grade and earned perfect scores on the AMC10 (2023, 2024, and 2025) and AMC12 (2025). Since 7th grade, he has qualified for the USAJMO each year. Beyond competing, Joshua enjoys sharing his passion for mathematics with other aspiring students. He has written hundreds of problems for AoPS and has developed curricula and taught classes for the Denver Chinese School (DCS), Denver Math Club (DMC), and Colorado Math Circle (CMC). He currently serves as President of DMC.
Driven by inequitable access to academic resources, Joshua works with his team to expand educational opportunities and support children in need, especially those from economically disadvantaged backgrounds, in building strong foundations in math literacy. In recognition of his service, he received the 2024 President’s Volunteer Service Award (Gold).
